Keep Amsterdam human rights-free for one day

When President Putin visits Amsterdam as part of a year of friendship (read: in the context of trade interests), you obviously don’t want to talk about human rights for a while. You’d rather just keep it cosy. Amnesty International understood this, and so decided to lend a hand, with an appeal to keep Amsterdam human rights-free during the visit.

The cross-media campaign (from bicycle handlebar hangers to a TV commercial, from social media to facade banners) was massively shared worldwide and prominently carried by all independent media in Russia.
